Six circuits. Two gates. No shortcuts.
Progression that is earned from the work you log rather than bought or self-declared. The six levels are named for the Fontainebleau circuits, because Font is where the graded circuit was invented, and once you have reached one it is yours for good.
Both gates, or neither
Moving up a circuit needs two things at once: enough points banked from the work you have logged, and a real send at the grade that level asks for. Points alone would reward volume; a single hard send alone would reward one lucky day. Requiring both is what makes the level mean something.
The grade gate accepts an indoor or an outdoor send, ranked by true difficulty, so a gym colour, a V grade and a Font grade all count for exactly what they are worth rather than for what they are called.
Eleven things the app watches for
Milestones land as you go: a new top grade, the next circuit unlocked, your first outdoor session, your first of a grade outdoors, a finger strength PB, a completed pyramid row, weekly streaks at four, eight, twelve, twenty-six and fifty-two weeks, a new spot, locations visited, and a lifetime send count. Three of them take over the screen when they land. The rest arrive quietly.
This is not an app about Fontainebleau
It is named after it and the six levels borrow the colours of its circuits, because Font is where the graded circuit came from and it is still a world-class place to boulder. None of that is a scope. The circuits work identically at your local crag, on a board in a shed, and on a trip to the other side of the world.
